1.Payroll Loan Program

The CARES Act contains forgivable 'loans' to cover payroll, rent and mortgage to keep your employees employed and your business afloat.

You can borrow 2.5x your average monthly payroll costs.

The funds can be used for Payroll, Mortgage Interest, Utilities and Rent.

Payroll covers salary, wages, commissions, vacation, sick leave, medical insurance premiums and retirement benefits.

The loan turns into a grant based on how funds are used.

The forgiven amounts are not taxable income!

2.Tax Credits for Employee Leave

The IRS and DOL have announced that small employers can take advantage of two new refundable payroll tax credits, designed to immediately and fully reimburse you for the cost of providing Coronavirus-related employee leave.

You can now provide employees with paid leave, either for the employee's own health needs or to care for family members. The legislation will enable you to keep your workers on payroll.

Employees receive up to 80 hours of paid sick leave and expanded paid child care leave when employees' children's schools are closed or child care providers are unavailable.

You (as employer) receive 100% reimbursement.

3. Sole Proprietors and small S-corporations
